This #GoodNewsFriday we hear about a charity organisation who are celebrating 70 years of support!
Stockport charity organisation Supportability is gearing up for a day of swinging clubs and fundraising at their 31 Annual Golf Day, set to take place at Heaton Moor Golf Club on Friday, July 5, 2024.
This year holds special significance for Supportability as they mark an impressive milestone – 70 years of dedicated service to the local community, providing essential support to people with a learning disability.
Supportability has invited businesses to join in supporting this event, offering team places and sponsorship packages starting from just £300.
For three decades, Heaton Moor Golf Club has hosted this annual fundraising event, with last year's event raising over £17,000. These funds play a vital role in enabling people supported by Supportability to lead fulfilling and independent lives.
Attendees can look forward to meeting the people the charity supports, hearing their inspiring stories first hand, and cheering them on during the inclusive golfing session. Exciting prizes await the winners of nearest the pin and longest drive challenges, alongside a silent auction and raffle to raise funds.
Following a day of golf, participants can unwind at the 'nineteenth hole,' for food, drinks, and a presentation to cap off the festivities. Supportability anticipates yet another exceptional day of fun and fundraising.
