A recent survey of our registered manager members looked at the benefits of membership, which aspects of membership are the most useful and other aspects of Skills for Care support which members valued.

Over 300 registered managers, who were representative of the wider population of registered managers (in terms of distributionof age, ethnicity, years of experience in role and in social care), responded to the survey.

97% of respondents would recommend membership to others.
- The social care manager’s handbook, the hard copy renewal benefits and resources on the membership portal were ranked as the most useful benefits by our members

Respondents are very proud of their membership and agreed that membership is value for money and that Skills for Care understands and champions the registered manager role.

Respondants also felt that membership helps to professionalise the role of registered manager, create a shared identity for registered managers and enhance other support received from Skills for Care.

Respondents agreed that as a result of membership they had made improvements to the quality of their service, felt less isolated and more confident, valued and supported.
