Throughout April we’re #CelebratingSocialCare and all the great work happening across the sector. We asked you to send in your good news stories and we’ll be sharing these throughout the month. In this article we celebrate some of the recent winners from the Great British Care Awards.
Ridgeway Rise Care Home was delighted to win four awards at the Great British Care Awards Southwest.
Ridgeway Rise prides itself on making a positive impact on the lives of the people they support - getting to know their stories, their preferences, and their unique personalities to provide personalised care that truly addresses their needs.
Meanwhile, Caremark Liverpool was elated to win two awards in their region.
They say that the award is a testament to their dedication and commitment to excellence in care provision.
The awards scooped by Caremark Liverpool included 'The Home Care Registered Manager' regional award for Sarah Crease and 'The Home Care Worker' regional award for Sanju Varghese.
Sarah's outstanding leadership, unwavering commitment, and innovative approach have truly set her apart, while Sanju's exceptional compassion, diligence, and heartfelt dedication have earned this well-deserved recognition.
The positive impact of the awards extends across the workforce, the organisation, and the individuals relying on care and support by boosting morale within the workforce and fostering a sense of pride and motivation among team members.

In London, Walfin Harrow and Brent were finalists in numerous categories.
Vaibhavi, a senior carer, was honoured with the Regional Palliative/End of Life Award. The organisation says that her exceptional dedication and skill epitomises the values they uphold, the high standards they strive for in providing care services.
Manager, Shilpi, and other colleagues Rima and Ansh were also regional finalists.

Bowfell House has also been celebrating as their Registered Manager Claire was the national winner of the Care Home Manager Award.
This award was awarded to the care home registered manager who demonstrated a high level of expertise together with exceptional skills in managing the complex business of running a care home. A manager who showed vision in developing person-centred care and supporting staff to meet the ever-changing needs of the residents.
The judges said about Claire:
Bowfell House said it is privileged to have Claire as Registered Manager and Director of Knoll Care.
With over 30 years’ experience of working in adult social care, Claire has worked in many roles and disciplines. For the last 25 years Claire has been Director of The Knoll Care Partnership and is also in post as Registered Manager of Bowfell House.
