Overview
Attendees will gain a comprehensive understanding of the legal and ethical principles surrounding consent in adult social care, with a focus on distinguishing between consent for technology use and consent in care delivery. This session will equip attendees with best practices for obtaining informed consent from adults receiving social care, particularly in scenarios involving assistive technologies and digital tools.
The event will also explore how technology can be leveraged to support personalised care, enhance communication, and promote the independence and well-being of people who draw on care and support. Attendees will learn strategies to navigate the challenges of implementing technology in care settings while ensuring the privacy, dignity, and rights of individuals are consistently upheld.
We'll be joined by Digital Care Hub who will introduce their guidance documentation which can be utilised to support training, and raise awareness.
