Help us develop a digital 'what good looks like' self-assessment for organisations in adult social care

Online

Register your interest to join one of our three user groups Skills for Care is working in partnership with the Digital Care Hub, Partners for Care and Health and Oxford Brookes to develop two digital self-assessment tools for adult social care, to support people in identifying what learning, training and resources they need when using technology in the delivery of care. These initiatives are part of a wider programme of work funded by NHS Transformation Directorate (NHSTD) and Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC). We are developing an online tool for social care organisations to assess and implement 'what good looks like' guidance for digital in social care. The tool will support each organisation in their digital development journey focusing on achievements, areas for improvement, baselines and targets, and making the case for change and progressing forward.  We would like to co-produce this tool with employers and stakeholders across the adult social care sector, to ensure they reflect the insights, perspectives and priorities of people working in care. Opportunity to get involved - join one of our three user groups We are holding a series of interactive user groups in October and November (taking place on Zoom) for people to come together and help review and develop our self-assessments, so they meet the needs of people within the sector in delivering care.  Each group will be focusing on developing parts of the self assessment: You can register your interest in joining one of these user groups via the 'register' link on this page. North West CEO and Commissioners Roundtable - Collaborative approaches to workforce innovation

Online

This Roundtable is one of a series of high level discussions providing the opportunity for owners, chief executives and managing directors of provider organisations to meet with commissioners of adult social care working in the North West. The network provides a forum to discuss strategic issues relating to the social care market, and the implications of these for providers and their workforce.  The face-to-face event will provide an opportunity for sector leaders to explore the conditions needed to support collaborative approaches to workforce innovation and shine a spotlight on examples of this happening in our region. Our solution focused discussions hope to bring together providers and commissioners to look at how we can collaborate to design and implement workforce innovation in adult social care.   At this event we will also be joined by NW ADASS to explore the future direction of social care under a new government, and we will look at how the new Workforce Strategy for Adult Social Care can inform and influence the debate.
