Skills for Care is partnering with the University of Salford to explore the value of social care in nursing education. We know from the NMC that both pre-registration nurses and nursing associates should be able to work in any setting at point of qualification, yet the presence of social care placements and programme content means that for some students social care is misunderstood and undervalued.
